Over a decade ago, my very best friend named her baby Abigail (See All About the Name Abigail for detailed history, meaning, popularity, and name ideas). Aside from knowing someone in my high school graduating class with the name, the name seemed to me to be fairly uncommon. Fast forward to present, each of my own daughters have several friends in their classrooms with the name.
