With all 3 of my babies, they all walked months before they had teeth. In the case of my eldest daughter, she was 15 months old before she even cut her first tooth, 18 months when the second tooth popped through. Because my daughters all showed signs of readiness for finger foods, they all were moved off purees and onto table foods and finger foods by 9 months of age. It wasn't a problem at all, and I'll tell you why.
